APPSC Junior Stenographers Recruitment 2011

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced recruitment notification 2011 the posts of Junior Stenographers in the pay scale of Rs.8,440–24,950. This is a good opportunity for the candidates who qualified in Intermediate, Graduation and have some technical qualification in stenography or type writing. The candidates should apply online through www.apspsc.gov.in . They should pay the fee through any of the AP online center or SBI branches. Age should be between 18-34 years for all the posts. Following are details of posts, eligibility and selection procedure:


1) Junior Stenographers in A.P. Ministerial Services: 52 posts; Qualification: Applicants should have passed Intermediate Examination along with pass in Government Technical Examination in Typewriting and Shorthand by the Higher Grade in the concerned language. If candidates with Higher Grade are not available, the vacancies will be filled with the Lower Grade passed candidates.

2) Junior Stenographers in A.P. Secretariat Sub Service: 19 posts; Eligibility and Qualification: Applicants must have Bachelor’s Degree along with a pass in Typewriting and Shorthand Lower Grade in Telugu and English.

3) Typists in A.P. Ministerial Services: 15 posts; Eligibility and Qualification: Candidates must ave passed in Intermediate Examination along with Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in Telugu.

Written examination will consist of objective multiple choice questions. There will be 2 papers in the examination. These are:
1) Paper 1: General Studies: 150 Questions - 150 marks - 150 minutes. Syllabus for Written Examination: History, Geography, Civics, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Current Affairs and Disaster Management.

2) Paper 2: Secretarial Abilities: 150 Questions - 150 marks - 150 minutes. Syllabus : Mental Ability (Verbal and non-verbal), Logical Reasoning, Comprehension, Re-arrangement of sentences and Numerical and Arithmetical abilities.

Application fee is Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty Five Only) and examination fee is Rs.80/- . Processing fee of Rs. 25 is compulsory for all applicants. The candidates have to pay the fee in the prescribed format available on the website and should get the challan and journal number. Selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in written examination. Last date for the receipt of online applications is 21-12-2011.
