University of Hyderabad, Gachibowli, Hyderabad has announced notification for the appointment of candidates for the positions of Research Associate (RA), Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF). RA positions are available in the project titled - Virtual Center of Excellence on Multidisciplinary approaches aimed at interventions against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, sponsored by Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. The project is sanctioned to Dr. Sharmistha Banerjee, Department of Biochemistry, University of Hyderabad.
1) Research Associate (1): Qualifications: Ph.D. in relevant area of Life Sciences with at least two years of research experience. Appointments will be for one year and can be extendible after review of the performance until the duration of the project. Salary is Rs. 16000 + HRA.
2) Junior Research Fellow: 1 position: Qualification: M.Sc. in any area of Biology / Chemistry. Candidates with CSIR NET or any other equivalent qualification would be preferred for JRF. Candidates with research experience and experience of handling animals would be preferred. Salary: Rs. 12000 + HRA for NET qualified and Rs. 16000 + HRA for JRF Qualified candidates.
3) Senior Research Fellow (SRF) : 1 position. Salary: Rs. 18,000 + HRA for JRF qualified and Rs. 14,000 + HRA for NET qualified appointees. Qualification: M.Sc. Biology with minimum two years of research experience. Candidates with experience in Mycobacterial cultures and tissue / cell culture will be preferred.
