It is proposed to fill up one contractual position of Research Associate, one position of Senior
Research Fellow (SRF) and two contractual positions of Project Fellows in different projects at
this Institute through interview etc. The eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling the
requirements should appear before the Selection Committee for interview on 19.09.2013 at 10.00
A.M. at this Institute.

Qualification : Essential: Doctorate in any branch of Agriculturale/ Life Science.
OR
Master’s Degree with 1st Division or 60% marks in any branch of Agriculture/ Life Science with two years experience having knowledge of Intellectual Property Right (IPR) related issues, patent search, patent filing etc.
Desirable: Diploma/certificate in IPR issues OR IPR related working experience. Working knowledge of computers

Name of the post : Senior Research Fellow

Qualification : Masters Degree in Plant Breeding/Genetics/ Biotechnology/ Vegetable Science/ Horticulture etc.
Name of the Project : DST project “Gene expression studies and development of functional markers for Anthracnose disease of Capsicum species”

Qualification : Essential: Masters Degree in Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Genetics/ Vegetable Science/ Horticulture (with specialization in Vegetable Science)
Pay (consolidated) : Rs. 23000/- p.m. + HRA for M.Sc. and Rs. 24000/- p.m. + HRA for Ph.D. as per
rules for Research Associate
Rs. 16000/- p.m. fixed + HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 18000 + HRA for 3rd year as per rules for Senior Research Fellow.
Rs. 14000/- p.m. fixed + HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 16000 + HRA for 3rd year for Non-Gate/Non NET and Rs. 16000/- p.m. fixed + HRA for 1st and 2nd year and
Age : Not more than 40 years for Men and 45 years for Women (Relaxable to
SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per rules) for Research Associate.
Not more than 35 years for Men and 40 years for Women (Relaxable to
SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per rules) for Senior Research Fellow/Project Fellow.
Note:-
1. The above posts are purely temporary/contractual, time bound and co-terminus with the
project/scheme or earlier depending on performance.
2. There may be a written test followed by Personal Interview, hence the candidates are requested to
come prepared alongwith pen, pad etc.
3. The candidates are advised to bring their Application Biodata giving details of Educational
Qualification and one recent photograph affixed thereon. They should also bring original copies
of all educational and other certificates during the Interview.
4. Right is reserved to increase/decrease the number of posts and also to cancel the recruitment
process for any/all the posts mentioned above.
5. No TA/DA etc. will be paid for attending the interview.
